At The Core Club, we specialise in reformer Pilates, a form of Pilates using specialised equipment called a reformer bed. This equipment adds resistance to traditional Pilates exercises, making them more challenging and effective. Our classes focus on building strength, improving posture, and enhancing mind-body connection. Whether you're new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, we have something for everyone.
Starting your Pilates journey can feel daunting, but our beginner courses are the perfect way to get acquainted with reformer Pilates. These courses cover the basics, from how to use the reformer bed to fundamental Pilates principles. You'll learn at a comfortable pace, ensuring you build confidence and skill before moving on to more advanced classes.
We offer a range of packages to suit all schedules, all offer transferable class credits for any missed classes.

Reformer Pilates exercises allow you to progress at your own pace.
Yes, you can definitely start Reformer Pilates if you are a beginner, even if you have never tried Mat Pilates before! The reformer bed provides a great deal of support for your body, which means there’s a much lower risk of straining your muscles as you work out. This makes it particularly suitable for a Pilates beginner. but it's essential to approach it with guidance, especially if you're new to exercise or Pilates. Reformer Pilates allows beginners to progress at their own pace. As you become more familiar with the exercises and your body's capabilities, you can gradually increase the difficulty level and challenge yourself further.
The Core Club studio is based in Finningley, Doncaster. It is easily accessible, located at the end of The Great Yorkshire Way, on the link road to Doncaster airport. There is free on-site parking.
Our studio runs on a monthly membership basis, helping you remain consistent in your Pilates journey and become a part of The Core Club community. The membership program is very flexible. If you cannot make your regular weekly class slot for whatever reason, you have the chance to pull out of the time slot and you will gain a ‘class credit’, which allows you to book on to any of the other classes which have availability. We also offer a pay as you go option for clients who cannot commit to weekly classes.
To quote Joseph Pilates: “In 10 sessions you will feel better, in 20 you will look better, and in 30 you will have a whole new body.” What he said!
The Core Club requires clients to be a minimum of 16 years of age to partake in our group classes. One of the many reasons we love reformer pilates, is that it is an exercise form that all ages can partake in and love!
